Community based works

HNF aims to conduct community-based programs for addressing the root cause of the poverty, conflict, social exclusion and at reinforcing the capacity of local governance bodies (Village Development Committees, Municipalities, District Development Committees) to manage and mainstream population, health, children and gender issues at the district and community level. HNF aims to deliver all the program activities to the community in an integrated manner with the active participation of all social groups and monitor the programs to strengthen the education and health system to respond communities’ reproductive needs and rights. Aiming to respond first to the needs of the communities who have limited access to health and education, HNF targets to provide intensive facilitation and sustained support for social empowerment to socially excluded groups with prior focus on orphans, poor children, drug addicted youth and adults, backward women, dalit (known as untouchable caste people) girls and women, however with due attention to community based activities targeted to youth and adolescents in and outside of the school system.
