Health Campaigns
After more than 10 years of conflict, Nepal faces numerous challenges. Political instability, chronic insecurity and widespread poverty continue to severally hamper development opportunities. Needs remain particularly high in remote and conflict-affected areas of the country. Many communities continue to struggle to cope with drastic shortages of qualified health workers, health facilities and supplies. The mountainous terrain, the long distances, and the extremely limited road network also mean that accessing adequate health care is almost impossible for hundreds of thousands of people.

The majority of people living in Nepal don't have very good access to get the proper    health facilities. Though Health is the basic and fundamental need of every citizen, Nepal government is not very much able to provide a good basic health service to each citizen.

According to the published Data, the following is the data of health condition in Nepal:
          • Average life Expectancy of Nepal is only 63 years.
          • 1 in 16 Children die before their 5th Birthday.
          • Half of all children are malnourished.
          • Women are 40 times more likely to die in Childbirth than developed nations.

Himalayan Nepal Foundation aims to improve the health condition of Nepal by facilitating many local sectors and the governmental sectors. HNF has also got a vision to organize many health related camps, seminars and different types of awareness campaigns. HNF sees that the condition of Lalitpur districts (one of the working area of HIM Nepal) is very poor in health developments. Southern area of Lalitpur does not have equipped and even a general treatment facilities in the local health sectors. Many women, who are at the time of delivery, die due to the lack of doctors, nurses and medical treatments. There are many people who have immature death due to the lack of hospitals and health care. The area is one of the war affected area of the country during the 12 years war in Nepal. Many people have lost their family members due to the war. Many are injured and they are dying because of the improper health care. So, HNF is very much eager to go such places with awareness, health facilities to make the community healthy. The main aim of HNF is to develop the health condition of poor, unreached and war affected families in the most remote and unreached areas by building health posts/ hospitals for local communities
